Wow! That’s the first thing I said when I watched this musical theater (The Phantom of the Opera) on our class EEP. Those angelic and powerful voice, especially the voices of Christine and the Phatom, I really love their voice
In Wikipedia, The Phantom of the Opera (French: Le Fantôme de l'Opéra) is a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux. It was first published as a serialization in Le Gaulois from September 23, 1909, to January 8, 1910. It was published in volume form in April 1910 by Pierre Lafitte. The novel is partly inspired by historical events at the Paris Opera during the nineteenth century and an apocryphal tale concerning the use of a former ballet pupil's skeleton in Carl Maria von Weber's 1841 production of Der Freischütz. Nowadays, it is overshadowed by the success of its various stage and film adaptations. The most notable of these are the 1925 film depiction featuring Lon Chaney and Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 musical.
Ramin Karimloo did an amazing job as the Phantom. That isn’t
an easy part to portray. That part particularly asks a lot of an actor. Not
only does he have to sing, he has to find this very deep emotion to dig into
within the whole film. He seems to do both with such ease and beauty. All that
they really had to do within that was more of just a physical role. Within this
opera you see this wonderful and a truly developed character.
My favorite part musically was when they performed Masquerade. That
is one of the amazing musical. They had the full cast in makeup and costumes
and masks. “Masquerade paper faces on parade, Masquerade, hide your face
so the world will never find you.” You have everyone dancing all around
the stairs and in this incredible hall. This is one of the most beautiful
scenes in the whole performance without a doubt.
This is a musical theater that I would recommend to anyone. This isn’t just for musical lovers. It is also for people that love different elements in opera as well. The story in this is portrayed beautifully and it is a wonderful production.
